Show 10-22-06: Two Valuable eBay Reports, Google Site Map Generator, Woot Wholesale, Japanese Wholesaler, Classified Site Lister, PHPBB Forums, Wikipedia Books, PDF Printer

You can forget eBay’s Pulse as a reliable indication of what is genuinely popular on the site but there are two buyer data reports that are very valuable IF you know what you’re reading..listen in as I explain.
Does your site have a Google Site Map? Perplexed on how to go about generating one for your e-commerce site? I found a service that will do it easily and for free.
Over a year ago I reported on the rule-breaking site, Woot, and it’s successful take on a new type of retailing. Well, the electronic wholesaler behind Woot has just opened an auction site for re-sellers only.
Japanese pop culture is very popular on this side of the Pacific and there is an LA importer that can hook you up with some great items.
Apart from major sites such as eBay and Overstock, posting on multiple sites, particularly classified sites such as Craigslist & Edgio can be time consuming… I’ve found a new site, still in Beta, that offers a classified ad creation, management and submission platform that enables online sellers to quickly and easily create attractive classified ads or “virtual flyers” that can posted on dozens of leading online marketplaces in a few simple clicks.
Fed up with forums and all their rinky-dink rules? Well, why not start your own? Listen in as we describe how easy it is to become master (or mistress) of your very own internet menagerie.
There’s a new service that will generate single books on demand based upon material from Wikipedia and its all on the up and up. But beyond single books, is there a way for you to use Wkipedia information for your own e-book info products?
Track as many auctions as you like by keywords on one single page…its easily done on this site.
Speaking of e-books, there are many PDF printers out there that will render your documents into a PDF format for free…but there aren’t many that will do what is absolutely necessary to succeed as an information publisher on-line….listen in and I’ll let you in on one that does.

Not sure where you got the idea that w54.com was new. The auction site has been around for years (May 2003 at least). They also used to have a seperate wholesale site at synmicro.com but it looks like they have done away with that and just redirect it to w54.

Thanks Nathan…I was aware of w54.com but I didn’t know (or had forgotten) that it had the auction format.
In any case, Good Woot!

I don’t have good things to say about SynMicro, but I’ll leave it at that.
If you want a free PDF printer, try the PDFCreator. We’ve been saving paper by saving our UPS End of Day report to a PDF file instead of printing it out to the printer.

Well…let’s not be coy about it, what’s up with “SinMicro”?
Thanks for the link to PDFCreator….does it preserve the hyperlinks? I know that this may not be an issue with UPS EOD reports but its what attracted me to easyPDF.

When I was buying from them, pricing was not competitive. It was more retail than wholesale.
Second, they don’t offer an order total at the time you make a purchase (or win an auction). Shipping is an unknown variable. Don’t be surprised if they overcharge you on shipping. Businesses that ship a lot with UPS or FedEx already receive a discount on their Daily Rate. It is unacceptable to me to be overcharged on shipping on a B2B transaction.

> PDFCreator….does it preserve the hyperlinks?
Hi, I do not know if PDFCreator will detect hyperlinks. I know CutePDF is freeware and it will detect/embed hyperlinks into the PDF document that gets created.
